1000여명 어르신 초청, 남진 등 가수 초청... 푸짐한 선물도
아름다움을 만들어가는 키스뷰티그룹이 개최한 ‘제3회 공경의 날’ 행사가지난 9월 20일 약 1000여 명의 한인 어르신들을 모시며 성공적으로 마무리되었다.
롱아일랜드 Crest Hollow Country Club 에서 열린 이날 행사에서는 풍성한 만찬과 최고급 제품들로 구성된 선물이 제공되었으며, 한국의 유명 가수 남진과 김용임이 특별 공연을 선보여 어르신들의 흥을 돋우었다. 이를 통해 어르신들의 노고에 깊은 감사를 표하고, 그들의 헌신에 대한 존경의 마음을 다시 한 번 확인했다. 행사에 참여한 한 어르신은 “친한 친구와 함께 이 행사에 참여할 수 있어 매우 행복했다”며, “무료할 수 있는 일상생활을 벗어나 이렇게 멋진 시간을 보낼 수 있어서 잊지 못할 추억이 될 것 같다”고 소감을 전했다.
이날 행사에는 키스뷰티그룹의 임직원 약 100명이 자원봉사자로 참여하여 차량 안내, 접수, 행사운영 등을 도우며 어르신들과 직접 교류하는 시간을 가졌다.
키스뷰티그룹 관계자는 “연례 행사로 자리 잡은 공경의 날을 통해 어르신들께 조금이나마 기쁨과 행복을 드릴 수 있어 매우 기쁘다”며, “앞으로도 공경의 날을 비롯한 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 지역 및 한인 사회에 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
올해로 세 번째 개최되는 이번 행사는 과거와는 달리 선착순이 아닌 추첨 방식을 통해 참석자를 선정했으며, 이전 행사에 참석한 적이 없으신 어르신들에게 우선권을 드리는 등 가장 안전하고 공평한 진행을 위해 공을 들였다. 앞으로도 ‘공경의 날’ 행사를 통해 더 많은 지역의 한인 어르신들을 모실 수 있는 기회를 마련할 계획이다.
키스뷰티그룹은 이번 행사 외에도 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 지역 사회와 소통하고 나눔을 실천해 오고 있다. 앞으로도 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하며, 한인 사회뿐만 아니라 더 넓은 지역 사회에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 꾸준히 진행할 예정이다.

The 3rd Elderly Appreciation Day event, held by the KISS Beauty Group, which makes beauty, was successfully completed on September 20 with about 1,000 elderly Korean-Americans. At the event held at Crest Hollow Country Club on Long Island, a rich dinner and gifts composed of top-notch products were provided, and famous Korean singers Nam Jin and Kim Yong-im performed special performances to boost the excitement of the elderly.
An elderly person who participated in the event said, “I was very happy to participate in this event with a close friend,” and added, “It will be an unforgettable memory to be able to spend such a wonderful time away from our free daily life.”
About 100 executives and employees of Kiss Beauty Group participated as volunteers to help guide vehicles, receive applications, and operate events, and interact directly with the elderly. A representative from KISS Beauty Group said, “We are very pleased to be able to provide a little joy and happiness to the elderly through the Elderly Appreciation Day, which has become an annual event. We will continue to contribute to the local and Korean community through various social contribution activities including the Elderly Appreciation Day,” he added.
The event, which was held for the third time this year, has selected participants through a lottery system rather than on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority was given to seniors who had not attended previous events to ensure the safest and most equitable process. In the future, KISS Beauty Group will continue to provide opportunities for more local Korean-American seniors to participate “Elderly Appreciation Day” event.
In addition to this event, KISS Beauty Group has been communicating and sharing with local communities through various social impact initiatives. In the future, they will be committedto their corporate social responsibilities and continue to implement various programs to positively impact not only the Korean-American community but also the wider community.
